Nemastylis
Nemastylis, commonly known as pleatleaf, is a genus of flowering plants in the iris family Iridaceae. It was first described as a genus in 1835 and is native to Mexico, Central America, and the southern United States.
Name and meaning
The name Nemastylis comes from Greek words nema meaning thread and stylis meaning pillar or rod.
