Francois Esterhuyzen
Francois Esterhuyzen is a South African rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Enisei-STM in the Russian Rugby Championship. He was born on 16 November 1994 in Somerset West, South Africa, and he is 1.87 meters tall and weighs 104 kilograms.
Esterhuyzen began his rugby career with the Boland Cavaliers at school level and earned a place in the South Africa Schools team in 2012, making one appearance against Wales. He then moved to Cape Town to join the Western Province academy and played for Hamiltons in the SARU Community Cup in 2014 and 2015.
His senior career started with Boland Cavaliers (2016–2019), where he made 39 appearances and scored 15 points. He then played for CSKA Moscow (2019–2021) with 13 appearances and 30 points, followed by Dinamo Moscow (2021–2022) with 13 appearances and 35 points. Since 2022 he has been with Enisei-STM Krasnoyarsk, making 24 appearances and scoring 220 points.
Internationally, Esterhuyzen represented South Africa at the junior level with South Africa Schools in 2012, earning one cap.
