Blakea attenboroughii
Blakea attenboroughii is a flowering plant in the Blakea genus. It is native to Ecuador and isn’t found anywhere else. The species was discovered in 2007 by American botanist Lou Jost and was named in honor of the famous naturalist and TV presenter David Attenborough. The full scientific name is Blakea attenboroughii, described by Penneys and Jost. It belongs to the family Melastomataceae, in the order Myrtales.
