Lora B. Pearson School, also known as Colescott School and School No. 4, is a historic school building in Shelbyville, Indiana. Built in 1939, the three-story Art Deco building is made of reinforced concrete faced with brick and limestone, with partial funding from the Public Works Administration. It was designed by Bohlen, D.A. & Son and sits on about 1.2 acres at 115 W. Colescott St. The school closed in 2000 and has since been converted into senior apartments. In 2009, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of Indiana’s Public Works Administration-era public schools (Indiana’s Public Common and High Schools MPS), with NRHP reference number 09001136.
