Era is a river in Tuscany, Italy. It begins near Volterra and flows for about 54 kilometers, joining the Arno River at Pontedera. The Era is a tributary of the Arno; its waters eventually reach the Tyrrhenian Sea. Its main tributaries are the Cascina River and the Ragone and Sterza torrents on the left, and the Capriggine torrent and Roglio torrent on the right. The river passes through Pontedera, which it flooded in 1966.
