KDRA-LP was Drake University’s low-power FM radio station in Des Moines, Iowa, broadcasting on 94.1 FM with the nickname “The Dog.” It began on August 22, 2006. Drake’s campus radio roots go back to 1982 with KDRK; from 2000 to 2006 it operated online and on campus TV as KDCS Bulldog Radio. KDRA-LP became a full-time station on 94.1 after KGVC-LP surrendered its license in 2015, ending the time-share arrangement. On June 10, 2019, Drake notified the FCC that KDRA-LP would stop operating and surrender its license, which the FCC cancelled on January 5, 2021. The station is now defunct.
