Istiblennius muelleri
Mueller’s rockskipper (Istiblennius muelleri) is a small fish in the blenny family found in the western Pacific Ocean. Males grow up to about 7 cm long, while females reach about 5.5 cm. The species name muelleri honors Ferdinand von Mueller, a German-Australian physician, geographer, and botanist (1825–1896). The IUCN lists Istiblennius muelleri as Least Concern, meaning it is not currently at risk of extinction. It was first described by Carl Benjamin Klunzinger in 1879.
