Gen Nakagawa (full name Motonobu Nakagawa; Japanese: 仲川元庸) is a Japanese politician who has served as the mayor of Nara in the Kansai region since July 31, 2009. He is an independent. Born March 6, 1976, in Heguri, Nara, Japan, Nakagawa studied at Ritsumeikan University and works as an economist. As mayor, he supports investing more in child care.
