Roberto Silva (Peruvian footballer)
Roberto Enrique Silva Pro (born 1 June 1976 in Lima, Peru) is a Peruvian former professional football forward. He is 1.91 meters tall. He spent most of his career in Peru and other Americas, with a brief spell in Europe where he played six Bundesliga games for Werder Bremen in the 2001–02 season. At club level, he played for teams such as Alianza Lima, Sporting Cristal, Unión de Santa Fe (Argentina), San Luis (Mexico), Caracas FC (loan), Cienciano, Universidad de San Martín de Porres, Universidad Católica del Ecuador, and Sport Boys, among others. In total, he appeared in 335 league games and scored 93 goals. Internationally, Silva earned 11 caps for Peru between 2001 and 2004, scoring 2 goals. In his personal life, he gave an interview in which he spoke about homosexuality in football.
