Latif Imanov (September 15, 1922 – March 12, 1980) was a Soviet Azerbaijani physicist known for his work in radio spectroscopy and the study of molecules in condensed matter. He was born in Shusha, Azerbaijan SSR, and died in Baku, Azerbaijan SSR. He graduated from Azerbaijan State University in 1944 and began working at the Institute of Physics of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, while also teaching at the university. In 1954 he became the head of the radiophysics and spectroscopy sector at the Academy.

Scientific work
- Focused on energy and structural properties of molecules and how they move and interact in condensed environments.
- Demonstrated the existence of propanol (H-propanol) in five non-equivalent rotamer states.
- In aromatic compounds, developed dielectric criteria for local order, identified rotational isomers, and studied how low- and high-molecular-weight components mix, including the concentration range where vitreous (glassy) systems gain mechanical strength.
- Built models of the dynamic structure of acetic acid and amino acid solutions.

Awards and honors
- Became a full member of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences in 1976.
- Named Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan SSR in 1979.
- A memorial plaque in Baku honors his contributions.
