Marco Navas
Marco Antonio Navas González (born 21 September 1982) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a right midfielder. He grew up in Sevilla FC’s youth system and made his La Liga debut in the 2003–04 season, appearing three times as a substitute. Most of his career was spent in Spain’s lower divisions with teams including Sevilla C, Sevilla B, Polideportivo Ejido, Xerez, Albacete, Guadalajara, Huesca, Leganés, Recreativo de Huelva, and Bury in England.
In Segunda División he accumulated 127 matches and four goals across six seasons for five clubs. He overall made 247 league appearances and scored 18 goals in his career. In 2013 he moved abroad to Bury, an English League Two club, and played three games before leaving in January 2014 by mutual consent.
Personal life: His younger brother Jesús Navas is a well-known footballer who starred for Sevilla and the Spain national team, winning the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012. Their family is of Romani (Gitano) origin.
