Annika Ernst is a German actress born on 14 March 1982 in Schleswig, West Germany. She grew up in Georgsdorf in the County of Bentheim. Ernst studied acting from 2001 to 2004 at the Charlottenburg Acting School in Berlin and also did a three‑month method acting workshop in New York City.

Her career began on stage, and she later appeared in cinema and television. In 2009 she took part in Til Schweiger’s talent show Mission Hollywood and acted in the film Rabbit Without Ears 2. From 2013 to 2016, she played the leading role of Elena Lange in the ZDF series Herzensbrecher – Vater von vier Söhnen. Between 2015 and 2019 she starred as Commissioner Elena Lange in the Sat.1 series Einstein. She also played the senior public prosecutor Kirsten Grambach-Wachta in RTL’s Beck is back! from 2018 to 2019.

Since 2021 Ernst has appeared alongside Hans Sigl and Mark Keller in the ZDF series Der Bergdoktor as surgeon Dr. Johanna Rüdiger, and she has also worked on Kanzlei Berger for ZDF. Ernst lives in Berlin with her daughter.
