Wesizwe Platinum is a mining company in South Africa. It holds a large deposit of platinum group metals (PGMs) on the Bushveld Igneous Complex.

The Bakubung platinum mine project, near Rustenburg in the Bushveld’s Western Limb, is Wesizwe’s main work. It is expected to produce about 350,000 ounces of PGMs each year.

In May 2011, Wesizwe secured a financing deal worth nearly $1 billion with Chinese investors, including the Jinchuan Group and CADFund, giving the company the funds to start production at Bakubung.

In January 2013, Wesizwe received a $650 million loan from the China Development Bank to help develop Bakubung, with part of the loan used to repay two earlier $100 million short-term loans signed in December 2012.
