Tom Taylor (English footballer)

Tom Taylor (born 10 February 1985) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He was born in Chatham, England.

Early life and youth career
- He trained in the youth systems of Walsall (1994–2002) and Derby County (2002–2004).

Professional playing career
- He made his professional debut in 2005 with Viking FK in Norway, under Roy Hodgson.
- He later played for Grimsby Town (2005–2006) and Walsall (2006–2007), with a loan to Halesowen Town in 2007 (10 appearances, 2 goals).
- In 2007 he moved to the United States to play for the Portland Timbers (5 appearances).
- He returned to the UK to join Wrexham in 2008.
- In 2009 he signed with Real Maryland Monarchs (18 appearances, 2 goals) and helped them reach the playoffs.
- He finished his playing career with the Wilmington Hammerheads in 2011 (6 appearances).
- Total senior career: 39 appearances and 4 goals.
