Te Arohanui
Te Arohanui is the sixth studio album by New Zealand singer Stan Walker. It was released on 17 September 2021 by Sony Music New Zealand. This album is his first to be performed in te reo Māori (the Māori language). It mixes re-recorded songs in Māori with several new tracks.
The album was announced on 31 August 2021 and is dedicated to Walker’s late grandmother, Te Arohanui McLeod (Nanny Taini).
In an interview, Walker said releasing a te reo Māori album felt like the right time and that the Māori language is powerful, healing, and uplifting through waiata (songs).
