Tim Porter
Tim Porter (born May 1974) is a British film editor best known for his work on the HBO series Game of Thrones. He also edited and co-produced the prequel House of the Dragon.
Porter helped shape some of the show's most famous scenes, including the battles directed by Miguel Sapochnik. He spent many hours editing, including sifting through nearly 100 hours of footage to craft the pace and rhythm of the battles.
He has won multiple major awards for his work. Porter won the Emmy for Battle of the Bastards in 2016 and for The Long Night in 2019. He also won Eddie Awards for these projects, with an additional Eddie win for The Long Night in 2020. In total, he has four Emmy nominations and four Eddie nominations for Game of Thrones editing.
