Relate Institute
The Relate Institute is a department of Doncaster College, based at the High Melton campus in South Yorkshire, England. It offers courses in relationship studies at various levels so students can start with introductory content or deepen their knowledge of working with couples, families, and individuals facing relationship or sexual issues.
The Institute is a collaborative project between Relate, Doncaster College, and the University of Hull. Opened in September 2006, it is regarded as a centre of excellence for the study of relationships. Its higher education programs are validated by the University of Hull.
Since its launch, the Relate Institute has hosted notable lectures. The inaugural lecture was delivered in February 2007 by Alan Johnson, then Secretary of State for Education and Skills. Since then, other prominent speakers have included David Cameron, Nick Clegg, and Cary Cooper.
