Mónika Járomi
Mónika Járomi is a retired Hungarian Paralympic swimmer. She was born on 6 January 1973 in Debrecen, Hungary, and she stands about 1.60 meters tall. She has cerebral hypoxia and competed in the S5 (and SB5) disability classes.
Her biggest achievements came at the 1994 World Championships in Malta, where she won gold in the 4x50m medley relay (S1-6) and gold in the 50m butterfly (S5). She also won two medals at the 1996 Atlanta Paralympics: a gold in the 4x50m medley relay and a silver in the 50m butterfly (S5).
Járomi is a two-time world champion and remains remembered as a successful Hungarian para swimmer.
