List of presidents of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh

This is a brief, easy-to-understand version of the RCSEd presidents. The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh began as a trade guild in 1505 and received a royal charter in 1778, becoming The Royal College of Surgeons of the City of Edinburgh. Before 1778, the leader was called the deacon. Presidents are elected for three-year terms, usually in November. The current president is Rowan Parks.
