2014 CAF Champions League

The 2014 CAF Champions League was Africa’s top club football competition for the season, also known as the Orange CAF Champions League for sponsorship reasons. The event ran from February to November 2014 and involved 58 teams from 47 associations. The two-time defending champions, Al-Ahly, were eliminated in the second round by Al-Ahly Benghazi.

Format and progression
- The tournament began with qualifying rounds, followed by a group stage and then a knockout stage.
- Eight teams reached the group stage, which was split into two groups of four. The group winners and runners-up advanced to the knockout rounds (semis and final).
