Kevin “Big Kev” McGowne (born 16 December 1969 in Kilmarnock, Scotland) is a former Scottish professional footballer who played as a defender.

McGowne began his career with St Mirren in 1991, then moved to St Johnstone in 1992, where he spent four seasons. He joined Kilmarnock in 1996 and stayed there until 2002, helping them win the 1997 Scottish Cup. He spent a season with Dundee United (2002–2003), had a brief spell with Partick Thistle in 2003, and then returned to St Mirren from 2003 to 2007. While with St Mirren, he helped the team earn promotion to the Scottish Premier League in 2005–06 and win the 2005 Scottish Challenge Cup against Hamilton Academical.

In total, McGowne made 442 league appearances and scored 12 goals. After retiring, he worked as an assistant manager at Montrose (2007–2008), Arbroath (2009–2010), and Brechin City (2010–2012). He later coached Kinross Colts at youth level (2023–2025).
