Distinguished Aviation Cross

The Distinguished Aviation Cross is a military decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is awarded for heroism or extraordinary achievement during aerial flight.

Who can receive it: Philippine military personnel serving in the Philippine Air Force or other air components of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (including air units of the Army or Navy).

What it recognizes: Distinctive acts of heroism or outstanding achievement in aerial operations, above and beyond the call of duty.

Status and precedence: It is currently awarded. In order of precedence, the next higher award is the Gold Cross, it is equivalent to the Distinguished Navy Cross, and the next lower award is the Silver Cross.

Appearance: The medal is gold-colored and diamond-shaped with a Maltese cross and a golden sun at the center, overlaid by a four-bladed propeller. It is suspended from a blue ribbon with white edges and a red central stripe edged in gold.
