Caroline Brazier (librarian)
Caroline Brazier is a Scottish librarian who led the British Library, the UK’s national library, as Chief Librarian from 2013 to 2018. She studied at the University of Edinburgh and earned a master’s degree in library and information studies from University College London. Before joining the British Library in 2002, she worked in academic and research libraries, including Trinity College Dublin and Dublin City University. Brazier announced her retirement in 2017 for 2018, and in 2018 she was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to librarianship and higher education.
