Ghosty is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language comedy-horror film written and directed by Kalyaan, produced by Seed Pictures. It stars Kajal Aggarwal, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, K. S. Ravikumar and Sathyan. The movie released on 17 March 2023 and runs for about 140 minutes. It marked the final appearance of actor Manobala, who died in May 2023. The film received negative reviews from critics.

Plot
Aarthi is a police inspector who aims to arrest the criminal Daas, who escaped from her father’s custody 20 years earlier. As she takes over the case, a shootout leads her to kill someone she mistakes for Daas, and she hides the mistake. In the second half, Aarthi experiences a hostile occult presence at her home while continuing her efforts to find and arrest Daas.

Reception
Ghosty hit theaters on 17 March 2023. Critics largely gave negative reviews, with The Times of India and Cinema Express both rating it around 1.5/5, and other outlets calling the film weak in humor and horror. Some Tamil outlets gave very low scores, while Maalai Malar offered a mixed review.
