Atakan Cangöz
Atakan Cangöz (born 30 March 1992) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Çorum FK. He was born in Bakırköy, Turkey, and is 1.75 meters tall.
Career beginnings and rise
- Youth career: Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor (2003–2008) and Antalyaspor (2008–2012).
- After several loan spells with smaller Turkish clubs, he started his senior career with Antalyaspor and later played for several teams in the Turkish lower divisions, including Fethiyespor, Manavgatspor, Etimesgut Belediyespor, Kızılcabölükspor, Kemerspor, and Serik Belediyespor.
Professional debut
- Cangöz made his professional debut for Antalyaspor in a 4–1 Süper Lig win over Gaziantepspor on 2 June 2017.
Current status
- Since 2022 he has been with Çorum FK, wearing number 92. As of 15 June 2025, he had 56 league appearances and 1 goal for Çorum.
Controversy
- On 13 November 2025, Cangöz was handed a six-month playing ban for his involvement in the 2025 Turkish football betting scandal.
