Ahmed Arifi Pasha was an Ottoman noble, senator, and reformist statesman who briefly served as Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire in 1879.

Born in Istanbul in 1830, his father was the diplomat Şekip Pasha. Ahmed accompanied him on missions to European capitals such as Rome, Vienna, and Paris, and he learned French well. He held various posts at home and abroad, including ambassador to Vienna and to Paris. He was a liberal who supported Midhat Pasha’s efforts to introduce the First Constitutional Era.

On July 28, 1879, Ahmed Arifi Pasha was appointed Grand Vizier, the empire’s top minister, but his term lasted a little over a month. He later continued to hold other government positions and died in 1895 or 1896. In contemporary English accounts, he was known as Aarifi Pasha.
