Rin Tueny Mabor Deng is a South Sudanese military officer and politician. He holds the rank of Lieutenant General and serves as the Governor of Lakes State. He was appointed to this position in 2021 by President Salva Kiir Mayardit. Previously, he was the first Governor of Eastern Lakes State, starting on December 24, 2015, after the state was created by Kiir on October 2, 2015. The creation of Eastern Lakes State and its later reorganization were part of agreements between Kiir and Riak Machar.
