2016 Atlantic Hockey men's ice hockey tournament
The 2016 Atlantic Hockey men’s ice hockey tournament ran from March 4 to March 19, 2016, with games played at campus sites and at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. The winner earned Atlantic Hockey’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Format
The tournament featured 11 teams and four rounds. The top five teams from the regular season earned byes to the quarterfinals. The first round and the quarterfinals were best-of-three series. The semifinals and the championship game were single-elimination. The champion received the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
