Me Hipnotizas
Me Hipnotizas
Me Hipnotizas (You Hypnotize Me) is a dance-pop song by Mexican singer Anahí from her fifth studio album Mi Delirio (2009). It was released as the album’s second single, hitting radio on February 22, 2010, and becoming available digitally on March 16, 2010. The song was written by Gloria Trevi and produced by Gil Cerezo and Ulises Lozano of the band Kinky, released by EMI.
Background
In August 2009, Gloria Trevi gave Anahí two songs she had written, including Me Hipnotizas. The track was included on Mi Delirio, while the other song, Mala Suerte, was performed on tours but not released on the album. The studio version of Mala Suerte later leaked.
Music video
A music video for Me Hipnotizas was filmed in April 2010 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. It was directed by Ricardo Moreno and involved about 40 people from several countries. The shoot lasted six hours, and Anahí helped supervise wardrobe, animation, and makeup for the project.
Synopsis
The video tells a story around a mystical tree that hides a man who has broken Anahí’s heart. It was shot in four main sets—desert, city streets, forest, and a battlefield with soldiers. Anahí wears multiple outfits, including a gold-toned Arab-inspired look and a silver dress, with nods to her role in Rebelde. The video promotes a love for nature and carries a subtle anti-war message.
