Trevignano
Trevignano is a small town and comune in the Veneto region of northeast Italy, in the province of Treviso. It is a scattered municipality, with the municipal seat located in Falzè rather than in the town of Trevignano itself.
Origins
The name Trevignano comes from the personal name Trebinius with the suffix -ānus.
Geography
Trevignano borders Istrana, Montebelluna, Paese, Vedelago and Volpago del Montello. The municipality includes the town of Trevignano and the hamlets of Signoressa, Musano and Falzé. Two main roads, SP 69 Schiavonesca (east-west) and SP 100 di Montebelluna (north-south), run through the area.
Population and size
Trevignano covers about 26.55 square kilometers and sits at around 85 meters above sea level. The population is about 10,700 (as of 2022), with a population density of roughly 403 people per square kilometer. Residents are known as Trevignanesi.
Economy
Agriculture remains important, with cereals, vegetables, vines and fruit, plus livestock farming. The town also has shoe factories (notably Lotto and Stonefly) and other industries, along with fruit/vegetable processing, dairies, feed mills and construction companies. The service sector includes supermarkets and banking.
Demographics
As of December 31, 2023, about 891 residents were foreigners (around 8.3%), with the largest groups coming from China, Romania, Morocco, Kosovo and Albania.
Monuments
Notable sights include the Parish Church of San Teonisto e Compagni Martiri and several Venetian-style villas, such as Villa Onigo.

The mayor is Franco Bonesso (from a civic list). The municipal seat is Falzè.
