Slavko Beda
Slavko Beda (17 October 1919 – 8 June 1975) was a Croatian footballer who played as a right winger. He was born in Savina, Ljubno ob Savinji, in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
He began his career in Zagreb with Graničar Zagreb in 1935. In 1936 he moved to Concordia Zagreb, where he debuted for the first team in 1938 and stayed until the club was dissolved in 1945. He won the Croatian First League with Concordia in 1942. After the war, he played for Dinamo Zagreb from 1945 to 1947. Health problems forced him to retire at age 28.
Internationally, Beda was capped once for the Independent State of Croatia in 1941 in a match away to Slovakia during World War II.
Personal life: His younger brother Oskar Beda was also a footballer, as a goalkeeper for Concordia and HŠK Uskok.
He died in Zagreb in 1975 at the age of 55.
