Overview
The women’s 3000-meter relay in short track took place at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing. Semifinals were on February 9 and finals on February 13. 34 skaters from 8 nations competed. The Netherlands won gold, setting a new Olympic record in Final A with 4:03.409. South Korea won silver, and China took bronze. The defending champions from 2018 were South Korea; Italy and the Netherlands were silver and bronze that year. The Dutch quartet was Suzanne Schulting, Selma Poutsma, Xandra Velzeboer, and Yara van Kerkhof.

Qualification
Eight countries earned a spot in the relay through the 2021–22 ISU World Cup, with China qualifying as host nation.

Records
Before the event, the world record was 4:02.809 (Netherlands), set in 2021. The Olympic record was 4:03.471 (Netherlands), set in 2018. A new Olympic record was set during Final A with 4:03.409 by the Netherlands.

Results
Semifinals determined the eight teams that advanced to Final A: Netherlands, China, South Korea, Canada, ROC, USA, Italy, and Poland.

Finals
In Final A, the medals went to the Netherlands (gold) with a new Olympic record time of 4:03.409, South Korea (silver) at 4:03.627, and China (bronze) at 4:03.863. Canada finished fourth. Italy and Poland finished lower, and ROC and the United States faced penalties in Final A.
