Saint-Denis-des-Murs
Saint-Denis-des-Murs is a small rural town in west-central France. It sits in the Haute-Vienne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (the area used to be part of Limousin). The village is about 24 kilometers south of Limoges, the department’s capital.
The commune covers 23.81 square kilometers and lies at elevations between roughly 270 and 479 meters. As of 2023, about 545 people live there, giving a population density of around 23 inhabitants per square kilometer.
Saint-Denis-des-Murs is part of the Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat canton and the Noblat intercommunalité. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Guy Touzet.
A notable site is the parish church of Saint-Denis. The area is mainly rural with countryside surroundings. Nearby towns include Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat (about 7 km away) and Pierre-Buffière (about 17 km away).
