Norfolk station (Amtrak) is a train station in Norfolk, Virginia, located along the Elizabeth River near Downtown Norfolk and Harbor Park. Since 2012 it has served as the Norfolk terminus for Amtrak’s Northeast Regional trains and has a connection to the Tide Light Rail at Harbor Park.

History
Before this station, Norfolk was served by other lines and stations, including Norfolk Terminal Station (demolished in 1963) and Lambert’s Point. Passenger rail service declined and Amtrak ended service in 1977. In the 2010s, the city funded a new downtown station, a brick-and-glass building with a three-story tower designed by Michael Baker Corporation. Service resumed on December 12, 2012 when only the platform was ready, and the station building opened on December 2, 2013.
