List of number-one singles in France

This article shows songs that reached the top spot on France’s official singles chart. From 1955 to 1983, the chart was compiled by IFOP (Institut Français d’Opinion Publique). Since 1984, the chart has been published by SNEP (Syndicat National de l’Édition Phonographique).

How it’s organized
The list is grouped by decade, with links to yearly pages that list all songs that hit number one in that year:
- 1950s: 1955–1959
- 1960s: 1960–1969
- 1970s: 1970–1979
- 1980s: 1980–1983 (IFOP) and 1984–1989 (SNEP)
- 1990s: 1990–1999
- 2000s: 2000–2009
- 2010s: 2010–2019
- 2020s: 2020–2026 (ongoing)
