Karkotis
Karkotis (Greek: Καρκώτης), also known as the Klarios River (Κλάριος), is a river in Cyprus. It starts on the northeastern slopes of the Troodos Mountains, flows through the Solea Valley, and empties into Morfou Bay. It is about 24.75 kilometers long. The river helped create the Solea Valley, which is rich in vegetation and fruit trees. Artificial canals along the river bring water to the valley’s villages. Karkotis is the only river in Cyprus that flows all year round.
