Judy Santos
Judy Santos is an American singer born on June 17, 1981, in Sleepy Hollow, New York. She is best known for her work in bachata music and for singing with the group Aventura, as well as for her solo career.
Her big break came in 2002 when she sang alongside Romeo Santos on Obsesión, a hit from Aventura’s album We Broke the Rules. The song topped charts in several countries, helping her rise to fame.
Santos continued collaborating with Aventura on La Guerra (2003) from Love & Hate, and Angelito (2005) from God’s Project, which peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay. She reunited with the group on October 9, 2021, at MetLife Stadium to perform Obsesión.
In her solo career, Santos began releasing music in the mid-2010s. Her 2015 single Tú Tienes Tu Vida appeared on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart. In 2016 she teamed up with Toby Love on No Hay Colores, a hit in Canada. She has released songs including Secreto, Demos Paso al Amor, and Loca, and issued a live album, Judy Santos Live, recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020 she collaborated with Wilmore “Bimbo” Franco on All By Myself, included in the album Classic American Tunes in Bachata. Her 2021 single No Me Rendí reached number 24 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay chart, produced and co-written by Grammy winner Chris Hierro.
