Independence Hall of Korea

The Independence Hall of Korea is a history museum in Cheonan, South Korea. It opened in August 1987 and has the country’s largest exhibition space, with about 23,424 square meters of floor area. The museum focuses on Korea’s independence movement during Japanese rule. Its first hall, the Hall of National Heritage, covers history from prehistoric times through the Joseon dynasty. The complex includes seven indoor exhibition halls and a Circle Vision Theater.

- The Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty, along with explanations of Hangul and a turtle ship recreation.
