Eddie Finucane

Edward James Finucane (5 April 1916 – 24 February 1991) was an Australian rugby league player who played in the 1930s. He was born in Redfern, New South Wales, and played as a winger and a centre.

Finucane started his top-level career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, playing from 1935 to 1937 and taking part in South Sydney’s 1935 Grand Final team that lost. In 1937 he moved to North Sydney and played two first-grade games there. In total he played 27 first-grade games and scored 8 tries (24 points).

He passed away on 24 February 1991 in Maroubra, New South Wales, at the age of 74.
