Dancesport at the 2017 World Games – Rock'n'Roll
The rock'n'roll event at the 2017 World Games took place on 29 July 2017 at Centennial Hall in Wrocław, Poland. 28 competitors (14 couples) from 14 nations took part.
Medalists:
- Gold: Jacek Tarczyło and Anna Miadzielec (Poland)
- Silver: Konstantin Chistikov and Ksenia Osnovina (Russia)
- Bronze: Tobias Bludau and Michelle Uhl (Germany)
Competition format:
- 14 couples started. The top four from the first round advanced directly to the semifinals.
- A “hope round” added eight more couples to the semifinals.
- In the semifinals, the six best couples moved to the final.
- The final featured two routines: foot technique and an acrobatic routine.
Final results:
- 1st place (Gold) – Poland: Jacek Tarczyło / Anna Miadzielec, total 115.63
- 2nd place (Silver) – Russia: Konstantin Chistikov / Ksenia Osnovina, total 109.98
- 3rd place (Bronze) – Germany: Tobias Bludau / Michelle Uhl, total 108.49
- 4th place – Norway: Steinar Berg / Anne Ragnhild, total 98.78
- 5th place – France: Nicolas Thevenon / Melitine Poulios, total 89.59
- 6th place – Czech Republic: Marek Divoký / Lenka Richtrová, total 89.07
