Belt, North Holland

Belt, also known as De Belt, is a tiny hamlet in the Dutch province of North Holland. It lies on what used to be the island of Wieringen, just west of the village Hippolytushoef. The name comes from the small hill (bult) on which Belt sits. On newer topographical maps, Belt is often not listed as a separate place and is shown as part of Hippolytushoef.
