Overview
The Archdiocese of Ottawa–Cornwall is a Catholic archdiocese in Ontario, Canada. It is the main church authority for the region and the metropolitan see of its ecclesiastical province, which includes the suffragan dioceses of Hearst–Moosonee, Pembroke, and Timmins. The cathedral is Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica in Ottawa, and the archdiocese follows the Latin Church and the Roman Rite.

History
- The area started as the Diocese of Bytown in 1847.
- It was renamed the Diocese of Ottawa in 1860.
- It became an archdiocese in 1886.
- On May 6, 2020, Pope Francis merged the Archdiocese of Ottawa with the Diocese of Alexandria-Cornwall to form the Archdiocese of Ottawa–Cornwall.
