Anatoli Pata
Anatoli Grigoryevich Pata (July 30, 1958 – January 10, 2025) was a Russian football goalkeeper and coach. He was born in Stalino, Ukrainian SSR (now Donetsk) in the USSR and stood 1.82 meters tall. He began his career with the youth team of Shakhtar Donetsk and went on to play for several clubs in the Soviet and Russian leagues.
Pata’s most notable spell was with Dynamo Stavropol from 1985 to 1989, where he made 167 league appearances and scored four goals from penalties. He also played for Kuban Krasnodar (1990), Dynamo Izobilny (1991–1992), Asmaral Kislovodsk (1993), Dynamo Stavropol again (1993–1994), Mashuk Pyatigorsk, Rotor Volgograd, and other teams through the 1990s. As a goalkeeper, he was known for scoring seven career goals from penalties.
After retiring as a player, Pata became a coach. He spent many years with Dynamo Stavropol in various roles, including assistant manager (2001–2002), head coach (2002–2003), and multiple later stints as a manager. He also worked as a scout for Dynamo Stavropol (2010–2011) and with other Stavropol clubs.
Anatoli Pata died on January 10, 2025, at the age of 66.
