1803 Georgia gubernatorial election
The election was held on November 24, 1803, to choose Georgia’s governor. The sitting governor, John Milledge, a Democratic-Republican, ran for re-election. The Georgia General Assembly voted, and Milledge defeated Solomon Wood. Milledge began his first full term on November 25, 1803. Vote results: Milledge 65 votes (91.55%), Wood 6 votes (8.45%), total 71 votes. Result: Democratic-Republican hold.
