Varreler Bäke
Varreler Bäke is a small river in Germany. In its upper part it is called Klosterbach. The stream runs through Lower Saxony and Bremen, passing the villages Bassum, Kirchseelte and Heiligenrode (a district of Stuhr) south of Bremen. Near Varrel it takes the name Varreler Bäke and then flows into the Ochtum near the village of Strom. The Varreler Bäke itself is about 6 km long; together with the Klosterbach, the total length is about 41 km. It is part of the Weser river basin, which eventually reaches the North Sea. In Varrel there is a historic water mill, showing that water power was once used for milling.
