Plot (in simple terms)
Kerry Carlson travels to Ireland with her boyfriend Hunter to visit his old friend Patrick. Two weeks later, Kerry is found dead on a beach. Kerry’s best friend Emma, who had planned to go on the trip, begins to have nightmares and wants to learn what really happened. Emma goes to a small Irish village to investigate. People there are tight-lipped, and Emma starts to suspect that Patrick may be involved. She uncovers more secrets about Kerry’s death, and it becomes clear that foul play was involved. As the story unfolds, Emma’s search leads to a shocking truth about what happened to Kerry.

Music
The film’s score was composed by Ciaran Hope, an Irish filmmaker and composer. The soundtrack includes Irish musicians and creates an atmospheric, indie vibe. A separate soundtrack album was released in 2012. The music for Truth about Kerry was even recognized with a nomination at the Park City Film Music Festival in 2012.
