The Bronx Home News

The Bronx Home News was a daily newspaper in the Bronx, New York City. It began on January 26, 1907, originally named The Home News, founded by James O’Flaherty, Jr. The paper served readers in the Bronx and northern Manhattan and was known for neutral news coverage. In 1945 it was bought by Dorothy Schiff, the president and publisher of the New York Post. In 1948 The Home News merged with the Post and stopped publishing as a separate paper. Today, copies of The Bronx Home News are kept by the Bronx Historical Society.
