Győr railway station

Győr railway station (Hungarian: Győr vasútállomás) is the main railway station in the city of Győr, located in Győr-Moson-Sopron County, Hungary. It opened on 24 December 1855 and is served by trains operated by MÁV START.

Location and lines
The station sits on the Vienna–Budapest main line and links to several other routes. It serves the Budapest–Hegyeshalom line (Line 1) and branch lines to Győr–Sopron, Győr–Celldömölk, and Győr–Veszprém. It lies on important routes between western Hungary, Austria, and beyond.

Station layout
Győr has seven tracks served by one island platform and three side platforms. The station area includes connections to buses, with stops to the north and south of the building.

Services (as of the June 2023 timetable)
Győr is a busy hub with a mix of long-distance and regional trains:
- Railjet: long-distance services between Zürich (and Munich) and Budapest Keleti.
- EuroCity: Wien Hbf to Cluj Napoca via Budapest Keleti.
- InterCity: hourly service to Budapest Keleti; some trains continue to Graz, Ljubljana, Sopron, Szombathely, Szentgotthárd, or Celldömölk.
- Overnight trains: Dacia–Corvin Express (Vienna to Bucharest) and Kálmán Imre (Budapest Keleti to Salzburg/Stuttgart/Zürich).
- InterRegio: about every two hours to Kaposvár.
- Regional-Express: about every two hours to Bruck an der Leitha.
- Személyvonat (local trains): hourly to Sopron and regular services to Celldömölk, Rajka, and Veszprém.
- S10 suburban trains: hourly service to Budapest Déli.
