Saint-Dominique
Saint-Dominique is a small municipality in the Montérégie region of southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Les Maskoutains Regional County Municipality and was established on July 19, 1969.
Population and area
Saint-Dominique covers about 71 square kilometers (roughly 70.5 km2 of land) and has a population of 2,741 people according to the 2021 Canadian Census, giving a population density of about 39 people per square kilometer. The community has grown since 1971, with notable increases in recent decades.
Government
The mayor of Saint-Dominique is Mario Beauchemin. The town is part of the federal riding of Saint-Hyacinthe—Bagot and the provincial riding of Saint-Hyacinthe.
