R&B Showcase is a quarterly music magazine from Willingboro, New Jersey. It was founded in 2003 by Tim Marshall, who remains the editor-in-chief. The magazine focuses on R&B and related genres, covering pioneer, independent, and national recording acts. History: The magazine began in 2003 as Rhythm & Blues Showcase News Magazine. To reflect its broader topics, the name was changed to R&B Showcase. The first issue appeared on August 23, 2003, at a promotional event in Atlantic City with LMNT from MTV’s Making the Band; the cover featured LMNT and Motown legend Richard Street of The Temptations. The magazine aims to preserve R&B history and culture while giving exposure to new and independent artists.
